Marshall Mays is a director of Emerging Alpha Advisors, Ltd., where he advises on risk management, and portfolio strategy. He is also a director of the Asian Bond Market Forum, an independent research institute dedicated to improving Asia's financial infrastructure.
He has spent over 21 years investing in Asia. During this period he spent eight years in Japan, with Chase Manhattan and State Street Trust and Banking, as Managing Director at the latter. He then served in Hong Kong as Nikko Securities' Chief Strategist until the late 1990s. He is a licensed asset manager under SFC supervision in Hong Kong. He is a regular, featured guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and CNN.
He has written several books on investment process and the capital markets of Asia. He graduated from The Wharton School, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and Duke University.
